Fiber Clear filters finer than traditional D.E. media, down to 2 microns. It is also used as a filter-aid for cartridge and sand filters. The ultra-fine filtration imparts a truly polished look to pool and spa water. In addition, it is bio-degradable, non-toxic and environmentally friendly and, in use, it generally costs less than D.E.
Pool grade D.E. is a known carcinogen which can cause respiratory illnesses and may have special disposal requirements (see Technical Bulletin).
